Since hot air couldn’t leave Ms. Gilbert’s dryer, it was backing up inside the unit itself. When heat and humidity are trapped inside, it makes it impossible for the clothes to actually dry. Even worse, it’s possible for the clogged vent to become a fire hazard. Thankfully, all we had to do was clean out the vent system and vacuum all the accumulated lint away. Once this was accomplished, the dryer was ready to go once more.
